Sister Sister Next Steps

By the end of January of this year, I had decided to pursue option #1 over option #2 — build an online directory of solopreneurs in the health and wellness vertical of solopreneurs.

I got back from the ashram on march 14th and the very next day posted the first video about Sister Sister on Tiktok and subsequently on my IG story.

Darryl, an engineer from Berlin reached out offering to help me on a few things where he was able to, for free.

Same with Coco, a recent college grad writer working at a communications firm in miami (and a massive U fan).

As well as Francesca, and Mimi, and Marta, and so many other friends/followers/women :)

Overwhelmed by the amount of people willing to give me not only their knowledge and energy, but the most important thing in the world — their time. I don’t take it for granted. I’m keeping a list (or at least am really trying to) of all of the people who have offered some sort of help or assistance during this journey. Not only to remember but also to hopefully be equitable somehow someday.

It’s a reminder that when people — specifically women — work towards a common goal, or are united by believing in a shared vision — so much can happen, and it’s all possible.

Darryl’s being so sweet and helpful, but the pace at which we’re moving has made me realize that I’ll need to hire another developer to achieve some of the things I’ll want to with the wordpress plugin, especially as I begin to put the MVP in front of people and get reactions — *we’re building this thing in realtime and as we go, baby.

I’ve also realized that at this moment in time, I need to be more focused on doing the things I need to do operationally instead of managing people — no matter how much I want to <3

I’ve started speaking to the incredible women who filled at the survey I linked to through the first video. I’ve only spoken to a handful so far but patterns are already emerging.

I spent a week on the YC application only to end up deciding to not apply. I’m not yet sure if I want to give up 7% or be susceptible to the GROW! SCALE! mentality that is all things YC.

Now it’s time to start finalizing the list of women I want to launch with so that I can start to focus on the demand side next.
